At Daimler Truck North America, we’re excited to expand the use of our battery-electric Freightliner eCascadia within our logistics network in collaboration with J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc.. This milestone marks our first fully electric route for aftermarket parts distribution, with the eCascadia delivering parts from our Phoenix distribution center to dealers along a 100-mile daily route. To support this, we’ve installed a Demand Detroit eFill charger at the facility, the first of its kind at a DTNA Parts distribution center. This is a significant step forward as we continue to reduce carbon emissions and optimize sustainable logistics solutions.   This collaboration with J.B. Hunt reflects our shared commitment to a greener future. The eCascadia has already proven its efficiency in other areas of our operations, and we’re excited to expand its role. As we explore future opportunities to electrify additional routes, our focus remains on innovative solutions that enhance sustainability across our supply chain. With the support of strong partnerships, we are driving toward a zero-emission future and our commitment to leading sustainable transportation. Exciting progress in the EV infrastructure space! We joined Greenlane™ Infrastructure and other key partners at the groundbreaking event for Greenlane’s flagship commercial EV site in Colton, CA. This major project is a critical step to accelerate the development of commercial EV charging infrastructure along Interstate 15, supporting the transition to zero-emission vehicles for heavy-, medium-, and light-duty trucks. The event coincided with Greenlane’s announcement of a $15 million grant from the South Coast AQMD, which will accelerate development and help complete the Colton charging site by the end of 2024. A special thanks to our leaders John O'Leary and Rakesh Aneja for representing Daimler Truck North America and highlighting the critical role this project will play for the commercial trucking industry. As a part of our corporate citizenship program, Daimler Truck Cares, we were thrilled to partner with the DTNA Athletics team, and Portland Parks and Recreation to host a free basketball clinic for local 1st to 5th graders, focusing on fundamentals and teamwork. This two-day event reflected DTNA’s commitment to giving back to the communities where we work and live. The kids worked on dribbling, shooting, and defensive skills while learning valuable lessons in sportsmanship and leadership.   A big thank you to everyone at the clinic for making this event such a success!    #WeAreDaimlerTruck #DaimlerTruckCares #DaimlerTruck
