Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer at Daiichi Sankyo, Inc. and Global Head of the Daiichi Sankyo Oncology Business

I’m honored to share my appointment to the WSJ CEO Council. While there will always be a voice inside my head that wonders, “why would anyone want to hear from me when there are so many incredible HCPs, advocates and other leaders making a difference on patient lives,” as I’ve grown as a person and leader I recognize and fully appreciate the opportunity to connect with my peers and the media on a higher level and purpose. This personal growth is primarily due to the immense responsibility I believe we at Daiichi Sankyo US have to patients and the global oncology community at large. We serve patients at a higher level – creating innovative medicines that are changing the standard of care – and contributing to the enrichment of quality of life around the world.     Looking forward to joining an esteemed group of industry leaders and decision makers dedicated to working together to shape the future of business by addressing key challenges and opportunities. It’s a wonderful opportunity to contribute to valuable discussions meant to drive innovation and positive change in our field.

Open discussion, collaboration and progress are among the goals of our Government Affairs team and why we were excited to host our local congressional representative, Congressman Tom Kean, Jr. at our Daiichi Sankyo US office. Together, we had the opportunity to discuss our history of innovation, what we are doing today to care for patients and where we will take our cutting-edge technology in the future. Thank you Rep. Kean for coming to visit and the wonderful dialogue. 📷 Congressman Tom Kean and members of the Daiichi Sankyo US team

Innovations aren't created in a vacuum. It takes a team, a shared vision and authenticity. We know this at Daiichi Sankyo US and Kim Hendricks, one of our Coaches of the Year, agrees. "My goal is to inspire myself and colleagues toward continuous learning and growth. As a team we enter each day with shared alignment on our three pillars: limitless impact, being resolute in our cause for patients, and willingness to be vulnerable to learn and grow as a team. At the heart of our success was an aligned vision, trust, and genuine regard for each other." What is your craft or leadership superpower? #inspiration #authenticity
