Introducing 'My Tech Stack' - a fresh new series where we dive into the world of short-term vacation rental leaders and their tech stack essentials. Why? Because the right tools can transform businesses, enhancing efficiency and productivity in this rapidly evolving landscape. Today, we turn the spotlight on Terry Whyte, the visionary CEO and Founder of Anna Maria Island Beach Rentals Condo Rentals. Let’s dive in! 1️⃣ What are your core software tools you use to power your business? There are ten core components of a tech stack.  If I had to name three it would be my PMS (Track Hospitality Software — A TravelNet Solution), my operations platform (Breezeway) and my market data platform (Key Data). 2️⃣ What's the latest game-changing product you’ve added in the last year? For sure it is Breezeway. With Assist being added to the platform it is literally like having a 24/7 remote employee. Although it is currently an operations module I would have to think reservation assist agents has to be on the table. Jeremy Gall is the most dangerous person in our industry and Breezeway will be the deepest and best platform in our industry that is not a PMS. See number four below. 3️⃣ We all have that one software product we can't imagine parting ways with. What’s the essential tool you’d never let go of? PMS and then Breezeway. I believe there will be three staples of the modern tech stack. The PMS, the website and Breezeway. Everything else will be built out from there. 4️⃣ Discover hidden treasures! What’s your under-the-radar product that's been a game-changer for you that maybe others may haven’t heard of before. DACK, Inc. has been pretty good, Breezeway has been nothing short of amazing. The under the radar will be what is coming next. I believe that model will be a hybrid platform combining a platform like either Dack, Enso Connect, Duve and then bring in a platform like Xplorie. Right now Enso has the inside track but it will be interesting to see if they can actually pull it off and if so at what scale. Dack is going to be a major player with a big announcement coming in the fall and as an industry we are probably underestimating Duve. Breezeway's guides/communications part of their platform has some work to do to catch up to Dack and Enso. But in the end don't be surprised if Breezeway is the one to pull this off.
