Introduced by the Legislature in 2013 and developed by the California Coast Keeper Alliance, this special day is all about enjoying and preserving our beautiful waterways. This year on October 25 Swim Across America will host their 19th annual San Francisco Bay Area Open Water Swim with a 1.5-mile swim from Little Marina Green to Aquatic Park, supporting the fight against cancer at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals. Whether you're a swimmer, volunteer, or kayaker, it's a fantastic way to make a splash for a great cause! https://lnkd.in/gtyyU73r Photos by Julio Duffoo, featured with the permission of Swim Across America San Francisco #swimmableca #SwimmableCaliforniaDay #SwimAcrossAmerica

Thank you to all the attendees, speakers, and vendors who joined us at the 2024 Mid-Summer Collection Systems Seminar and Expo earlier this month. This year we saw 126 attendees overall and 17 exhibitors turn out for two-days of training. It was a great opportunity for everyone to build skills, network with fellow sewer pros, and prepare for whatever is coming down the pipeline. We can't wait to see you all and more next year!

Have an exciting pretreatment, pollution prevention, or stormwater case study to share? CWEA's P3S Committee is looking for great presenters and stories for the 2025 P3S Conference and Expo on February 3-5 at the Hayes Mansion San José. The conference is one of the largest pretreatment conferences in North America. CWEA believes in outcome-centered learning, so engagement and discussions during a presentation are key to helping attendees gain knowledge and skills. Consider what the audience will take away as we'll ask for three learner outcomes. Proposals are for a 50-minute session. Bonus points for either: An experienced presenter paired with a first-time presenter, or co-presenters from different disciplines or organizations. Further details available on the presentation application page. Hurry, apply by August 30. https://lnkd.in/db7HGyWp
