"The way to look at Current is it's a longer-term play... But the market being a long-term weighing machine, I think we win over time, and we're starting to see that come through that product-market moat. It's really coming through for Current this year." - Stuart Sopp, CEO and co-founder. For a deeper look into our path to 100% YOY growth (spoiler: focus on product-market fit), download the latest case study from our partners at Tearsheet, who took a deep dive into the factors behind our success. #fintech #tech #growth

Stuart Sopp, CEO of Current, recently joined us on our flagship Tearsheet Podcast. It's not easy for banks to provide liquidity to today's average American. So, they've pulled back. Current developed its own form of cash flow underwriting to support its new Paycheck Advance product. It's working, too. "We’re experiencing probably top decile growth right now, when you look at our Paycheck Advance product really working synergistically with that Build Card. So it’s been busy the last year. We’ve been iterating most of this year, and really sort of making sure everything works perfectly, and that we have great product experiences, and that the customers are happy," Sopp said. We have always believed owning our own core banking technology was critical to building differentiated products and putting us in firm control of our innovation and member experience. As we have continued to build its capabilities over the last nine years, few stand out more than our move to Visa DPS Forward in October 2022, to do our own processing directly with the card network moving forward, and which we did via a nearly seamless live BIN migration of millions of accounts. It was the result of over 16 months of meticulous planning and we were one of the first clients to go live with a full suite of solutions running at scale with Visa DPS Forward. How did this integration and partnership come about? Why were API capabilities so important in selecting Visa DPS Forward as a solution? Read more in a case study from Datos Insights, detailing our 'leap forward' with Visa DPS Forward, why owning our own core platform has been so important in its success, and the opportunities we see ahead to scale our partnership. #fintech #tech #corebanking #innovation
