Strengthening our communities is a key aspect of our #ONECSX culture. Through a partnership with Food Rescue US, our employees developed a program where unused fresh food from CSX headquarters is donated to a local partner rather than entering a landfill. To date, over 11,000 pounds of fresh food has been donated to the Five Star Veterans Center to help military veterans in need in Jacksonville, FL. Our 2024 CSX summer interns recently took their dedication beyond the office by volunteering at Feeding Northeast Florida. Together, they inspected and sorted an incredible 7,190 pounds of dry donations to help provide 5,992 meals for communities across Baker, Bradford, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Nassau, Putnam, and St. Johns Counties. We're proud of our interns for making such a significant impact and embodying the #ONECSX commitment to service that moves us forward!
