Celebrating Andrew Roubion, PE, NGICP for passing the National Green Infrastructure Certified Practitioner (NGICP) certification exam! 🌟 We are incredibly proud of Andrew for reaching a significant milestone by passing the National Green Infrastructure Certified Practitioner (NGICP) certification exam! This certification equips professionals with the skills needed to construct, inspect, and maintain green infrastructure effectively. Since graduating from LSU, Andrew has sought ways to incorporate environmental sustainability into his career. Working in water resources provided an amazing gateway to link his passion for flood mitigation with his degree. This new certification allows him to understand how to best use green infrastructure to reduce flood risk, improve water quality, and increase green spaces in local communities. With this certification, Andrew can confidently present green infrastructure as a viable option for potential projects, guiding clients on the best design and identifying areas that would benefit most. We’ve already seen local governments show interest in utilizing this practice for flood reduction measures. Congrats, Andrew! 🎊

The Ascension Chamber of Commerce recently celebrated the graduation of the Leadership Ascension Class of 2024. In its 29th year, this program continues to develop responsible and informed community leaders, with over 800 graduates since its inception. This year's 33 participants were divided into four groups, each tasked with developing a volunteer-based project to benefit the Ascension community. While every team made significant contributions, the judges could only choose one proposal as the 2024 Leadership Ascension Project of the Year. This year's winners are the Fellows of Ascension, composed of Jamie McKnight, Samantha Rothschild (Faulkner), Vickie Rogers, Nick Schexnayder, EI, Jodi Runfalo, and Tamika Westbrook. We are thrilled to announce that Jamie McKnight, a project manager with CSRS, served as Team Captain for the Fellows of Ascension. Under Jamie’s leadership, the team not only won Project of the Year but also made substantial improvements to The Fellowship Center’s facilities, outreach, and assistance. Additionally, Jamie was selected as Vice President of the 2024 Class, a testament to her leadership and dedication. A special thank you to the Ascension Chamber of Commerce for their continued dedication to fostering leadership and community engagement. And congratulations to all the 2024 graduates for your hard work and commitment! Let's give a big round of applause to Jamie McKnight and the Fellows of Ascension for their remarkable achievements! 👏👏👏 Photos Courtesy of Crawford Photography & Ascension Chamber of Commerce
