  • Staff from all three of our campus locations attended the annual Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church at Lake Junaluska on June 20th through the 23rd. While there, staff were able to share about Crossnore and the services we provide with leaders from the 643 churches, representing 44 different counties across Western North Carolina. The conference held conversations and listened to messages about creation care, racism, and LGBTQIA inclusion. It named progress, confessed failure and harm, and acknowledged a deep need for continuing personal, local, and conference engagement. Crossnore was grateful to be in attendance and proud to license and serve all children and families!

  • We extended our heartfelt thanks to Representative Donny Lambeth, a lifelong supporter of Crossnore at a legislative reception in Raleigh on June 18th. His dedication has been instrumental in our efforts, and we deeply appreciate his unwavering commitment. During the reception, Crossnore CEO, Brett Loftis, shared, "Donny Lambeth's support for foster care stems from his deep roots in North Carolina, his extensive career in healthcare, and his longstanding dedication to public service and education." Crossnore is grateful for his long-standing commitment to our work, and the children and families we serve. At the reception, Brett presented Donny with an original piece of art of the Crossnore campus and the downtown Winston-Salem skyline.
