Inspiring organizations are made by inspiring teams. Go Dutchy! Go Dairy Holdings!
Meet Dutchy, Our CropX Installation Expert! At Dairy Holdings, Richard—known to the team as 'Dutchy'—is the go-to guy for expertly installing all 282 CropX sensors across our farms. His precision ensures accurate data for better decision-making, helping us optimize water usage, soil health, and pasture management. The installation process requires real attention to detail. Dutchy carefully excavates the soil, installs each sensor in the ideal location, and backfills it to ensure perfect contact. He even makes the sensors stock-proof to protect them from damage. We're grateful for Dutchy’s hard work, especially dealing with Canterbury's challenging, stony soils! #dairyholdings #EfficientFarming #BehindTheScenes #MeetTheTeam

CropX sensor draws a crowd! These cows were keen to check out this CropX sensor recently installed in one of their paddocks in the Lockyer Valley, QLD. Through the CropX app, the farmer has access to lots of easy-to-use information including CropX Insights, which provide guidance about when the crop needs irrigating, ensuring a plentiful supply of quality feed for his herd of Jersey cows. After hearing from Brian Gallagher from Dairy Holdings at the recent CropX NZ conference about how the CropX system is used across their farms, it’s fantastic to have some Aussie Dairy Farmers using this #agtech as well.

"The CropX effluent system has been instrumental in optimizing our effluent application timing, reducing dependence on artificial nitrogen, and minimizing anaerobic effluent states—crucial for lowering greenhouse gas emissions." Thanks Dairy Holdings! #precisionag #sustainableag #agtech for the win!
🌱 CropX at Dairy Holdings🌱 We're excited to share that our Sustainability Manager, Brian Gallagher recently spoke at the CropX conference in Christchurch on August 26th. It was a great opportunity to connect with the international team and learn about the latest updates to CropX products. Brian highlighted how we’re using CropX technology across our farms, with 282 sensors in place. These sensors provide us with crucial data on soil and effluent, helping the team at Dairy Holdings to make informed decisions about when and how to apply water and effluent, leading to more efficient use of resources. By understanding soil data like soil moisture, we can apply water more efficiently and evenly, reducing wastage and supporting better pasture management. The CropX effluent system has been instrumental in optimizing our effluent application timing, reducing dependence on artificial nitrogen, and minimizing anaerobic effluent states—crucial for lowering greenhouse gas emissions. Additionally, it offers a failsafe shut-off feature to ensure system reliability in the event of any issues. This technology is helping us take significant strides in sustainability, and we’re committed to continuing to improve our practices for a better future. #Sustainability #AgTech #DairyHoldings #CropX #GHGReduction #PastureManagement #EfficientFarming
