We came together as a campus for Pink Out Day to honor all those affected by cancer. In a beautiful tribute, students and faculty gathered to form a large ribbon on our sports court, symbolizing our collective support and remembrance. A big thank you to everyone who contributed, and congratulations to our raffle winners! ✨ Spotlight on Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Inc.! ✨ We’re thrilled to partner with Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Inc., providing our students with invaluable hands-on experience across multiple departments! This year, our two Student Associates have the unique opportunity to rotate through Amenities, Asset Services, Communication & Design, Finance, Leasing, Life Science, and Real Estate Development—building a well-rounded understanding of Alexandria’s diverse operations and sharpening skills for their future careers. Meet Maximo C. ('26), one of our student associates excelling at Alexandria! His curiosity and dedication have already left an impression on his supervisors: “Maximo was very engaged, asked great questions, and took detailed notes throughout the day. He was introduced to our entire engineering team and learned about Fire Suppression Systems, BMS, and emergency generators.” Currently, Maximo is working with the Asset Services Team, attending engineering meetings and gaining insights into planned vs. emergency property work, tenant financials, and shared expenses. His commitment to learning is paving the way for a bright future! ✨ Work Study Wednesday Spotlight: Student Associates of the Month! ✨ This week, we’re excited to highlight the two outstanding CWSP student associates (student workers) who have gone above and beyond in their Corporate Work Study placements. Let’s give a round of applause to our hardworking students and their Corporate Work Study Partners, St. Martin of Tours Academy and Precision Diagnostics! Freshman Joy Ruiz, placed with St. Martin of Tours Academy, has been a force of creativity and determination. Whether she’s working with technology or assisting students, Joy brings innovative ideas to life while maintaining a respectful and positive attitude. We’re so proud to have her as our September 2024 Student Worker for the lower grades! 🎉 Junior Jose Parra, who works at Precision Diagnostics, has shown incredible growth and adaptability in his role under supply chain operations. In assisting with document processing, mail and shipping, and tech support, Jose has made tremendous progress since last year, showcasing his dedication to improvement. ✨ Teacher Spotlight: Mr. Chambers ✨ Meet Mr. Chambers, a dedicated and passionate educator at Cristo Rey San Diego High School! 💬 “I chose to teach at Cristo Rey to have a more direct connection with the students. Cristo Rey is a tight-knit community, and it’s truly endearing to be part of something larger than oneself. I’ve had a stronger connection to my faith, family, and community since I began teaching here.” Mr. Chambers brings energy and enthusiasm to his classrooms, teaching Sophomore Biology and Senior Financial Algebra. In addition to teaching, Mr. Chambers is actively involved in our school’s extracurriculars.
