The CREW Denver Education Committee is dedicated to showcasing the diverse careers available in commercial real estate. Last week, our committee member Audrey Wilson organized an event for high school and college students to network with the City of Aurora’s planning and zoning department, as well as Evergreen Development and Parkhill Development. The event kicked off with an hour-long panel discussing topics like long-range planning, planning code, and Development 101, followed by a site visit to the new Sprouts development near the Aurora Municipal Center. The panel featured Daniel Krzyzanowski and Ben Bravenec from the City of Aurora’s Planning and Zoning department, Bill Parkhill from Parkhill Development, and Erika Shorter and Karen Levitt Ortiz from Evergreen Development.
