Our Summer Associates recently partnered with Digi-Bridge to create 100 Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) robotics kits for students across the Charlotte community. 🤖 Digi-Bridge ignites interest and persistence in STEAM learning, ensuring students in underrepresented communities have the access, opportunities, and skills to succeed in a rapidly changing world. These curriculum kits will help introduce students to STEAM fields and provide opportunities for success in the digital age. We are proud to work with Digi-Bridge to support the next generation of innovators and leaders as we further our mission of building community and bettering people’s lives!

In June, our colleagues and partners supported the Town of Holly Springs, home to our THE YIELD by Crescent Communities life science and advanced manufacturing campus. The team worked on painting fences at Sugg Farm Park, a 117-acre conservation area with pastures and woods overlooking Bass Lake. Guided by our mission to 'Build Community and Better People's Lives,' we were thrilled to join together to contribute to this beautiful community asset managed by Triangle Land Conservancy and Holly Springs Parks and Recreation.

We are thrilled to announce our next community — HARMON Ascend, located in Avondale, AZ. Inspired by the relaxed, casual, and fun experience of a swim club, we have thoughtfully created engagement with: 🚶♀️A Walkable Community: Easy, welcoming pedestrian connections ensure cars stay parked, and walking and neighborly interactions are the norm within this mixed-use community. 🏘️ A Collection of Neighborhoods: Multiple neighborhoods with unique amenities and identities foster tighter communities and social bonds. 🏊 Play for All Ages: Diverse play spaces like game lawns, a lively pool, large communal tables for hosting community-wide events to bring neighbors together for fun and connection. Construction is underway with Mosaic and we cannot wait to realize the vision at HARMON Ascend, where living is easy, fun, and deeply connected — and not to mention an incredible pool experience. Does change happen to us or for us? Reflecting on this question surrounded by change agents at Crescent Communities was truly inspiring. In a culture that values curiosity and innovation, it was a privilege to share insights, tools, and strategies on change agency & management. Key takeaways from our session: - Flexibility v. Adaptability: We need both mindsets to drive change. Thank you to Mosiah Lloyd who masterfully shared an analogy on flexibility (like a rubber band) versus adaptability (like a paper clip). - Take Change Seriously, Not Personally: Fran West's reminder to reevaluate our emotional connection to change and avoid comparing our journey to others was a powerful insight. - Make a business case for change: Scott Azaroff shared tips he has learned on how to "sell" the hope of a future state and drive change around you. Grateful for the opportunity to lead this discussion and collaborate with a team dedicated to building community and bettering lives. Special thanks to Tracy Chambers and The Latondra Riley, PHR, MHRM for bringing us all together & investing in growth! Extraordinary team driving change internally & externally together!! #change #Changemanagement #cultureofchange #crescentcommunities
