Creative Connect Hattiesburg

Welcome to Creative Connect Hattiesburg! We are a dynamic group of creatives interested in volunteering our time and talents to local ministries in the Greater Hattiesburg area. We understand that many non-profits in Hattiesburg use all the financial resources they receive to further the work of their missions (feeding the hungry, housing the homeless, etc.), which means they rarely have money left for things like compelling videos, websites, photography, etc. Creative Connect is focused on closing the gap between the non-profit community’s needs and our region’s creative talent pool. Whether we want to be or not, we are always in the business of story-telling. Creative Connect is just that—people helping people tell their stories in more powerful and meaningful ways. About 5 years ago, a trailblazing group of Leadership Pinebelt participants gave birth to this very idea of connecting local creatives with local non-profits. Those people were Susan Eaton, Shawn Harris, Ryan Kelly, Teresa McDaniel, Sam McAlister, and Brett Phillips. Their vision identified a huge gap between the amount of local creative talent in our community and the need of creative marketing efforts in our local non-profits. With the original thought-founders onboard, we’re marching into 2020 with a refreshed vision and joint effort to build the foundation for Creative Connect. The heart and soul of this group is to give back to the people that give back. A ministry to ministries. And there are so many stories to be told. Our job? To tell those stories with our time and talents. FOR. FREE.
