Today we recognize Juneteenth, a pivotal moment in American history when the last enslaved African Americans were freed in Galveston, Texas on June 19, 1865. This day serves as a reminder of the strides we’ve made toward justice and the opportunity that lies ahead in achieving equality for all. Today and every day, we honor the voices of our colleagues. 🎉 Time to celebrate! Over the weekend, several of our team members, along with their families and friends, participated in the 2024 Stonewall Columbus March in downtown Columbus, Ohio. This event was part of a larger celebration that drew 700,000 attendees throughout the parade and PRIDE festival. We've made it a tradition to sponsor this annual event, showing our support for the LGBTQIA community. The weekend's activities were led by our Pride employee resource group (ERG) board members Astone Jackson, Shannon Schneider, and Jesse Gales. They were supported by our Pride ERG National Chairs, James Britt and Michael Evans, from McKesson’s Inclusion & Belonging team, ensuring the event successfully engaged in celebrating LGBTQIA rights and visibility. We are immensely proud of our colleagues who consistently show up as their true and authentic selves, not only during significant moments like this, but every day throughout the year.
