Through their “PAC Gives Back” program, they engage their employees and residents in spirited fundraising activities, enabling CoreGiving to support 75 food banks, including Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. In light of Mental Health Awareness Month, it is important to acknowledge that food insecurity and mental health challenges are often intertwined. Nourishing Hope has been at the forefront of providing mental health counseling and social services—in addition to free food—to help Chicagoans lead dignified lives. Earlier this month, Nourishing Hope’s Young Leaders Board hosted their annual End Hunger Social. CoreGiving was honored to sponsor the event and engage young leaders from LivCor, a Blackstone Portfolio Company, and Revantage, A Blackstone Portfolio Company, in Nourishing Hope’s important mission. Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank was CoreGiving's first hunger-relief partner, and we're proud to sponsor their annual gala, which raises critical funds for their Food 4 Kids Backpack Program. On Fridays throughout the school year, the food bank distributes backpacks filled with food to 3,500 students at 65 elementary schools across San Diego County. Thanks to the support of ShopCore Properties and our other Blackstone real estate portfolio company partners, CoreGiving is able to fund thousands of these backpacks for kids who would otherwise go hungry over the weekend. Special thanks to Lauren Greulich and Daniel Medina for representing CoreGiving at this year's gala and for being passionate advocates of our mission to end child hunger in the U.S.
