About us

Cordeel Group is an independent family-owned business with 1,600 employees and an annual turnover of 800 million euros. With roots in Belgium, we have grown to become a major European player in the construction industry, and now oversee a number of companies, alliances and joint ventures. Cordeel Group is much more than a construction company. It is the one-stop partner for the complete construction process. The companies that operate under the Cordeel Group banner are each highly specialised in their own field. We work together or independently to create sustainable, future-proof solutions for our clients’ complex requirements. From this broad expertise, we take care of the complete construction process from design and technical support to completion and maintenance. Sustainable business is not a fashion trend for Cordeel, but a way of doing business. Our mission therefore reads as follows: "Transforming the future as the fastest builder by focussing on innovation to create smart, energy-efficient, and low-carbon solutions". We are actively committed to becoming a leading example in the construction world and to encourage other companies to build a more sustainable world. Cordeel Temse took the first steps in this direction in 2012 by obtaining certification under the ISO 14001 management system. Almost a decade later, we continue to be actively committed to lowering the CO2 emissions of our activities, and endorse the UN development goals to implement sustainability in practice.

    Imtech provides Mobilis in Anderlecht with advanced climate systems 🌍 For the multifunctional Mobilis project by D'IETEREN IMMO in Anderlecht, Imtech has completed the HVAC installation and essential sanitary facilities. This sustainable building is equipped with innovative technologies, including a geothermal system and an active concrete slab structure, which together ensure optimal temperature control in every space.     Mobilis in Anderlecht for D'IETEREN IMMO 🚗 Imtech contributed to Mobilis, an impressive multifunctional building in Anderlecht. With a gross area of 35,000 m², this sustainable building is designed to flexibly accommodate the changing needs of various users, including offices, coworking spaces, and showrooms. Imtech implemented advanced HVAC and sanitary installations. The installed system, consisting of a geothermal installation combined with an active concrete slab structure, ensures efficient and precise temperature control throughout the building.     🌞 This was Dwars Door Cordeel 2024! We had the pleasure of welcoming 170 enthusiastic runners and walkers to our Dwars Door Cordeel event at our Temse site. Under a radiant sun, participants explored our headquarters and production facilities, all while enjoying the stunning views of the Scheldt River. With routes ranging from a 4 km run to more challenging 8 and 11 km options, everyone experienced our site from a unique perspective. The strong sense of community and the excitement of exploring our site made the day truly memorable for us. 💪 After their routes, participants relaxed on the C-gazon with well-deserved snacks and drinks, while the kids had a blast on the bouncy castle.     🚗 The importance of sustainable transportation Sustainability is one of the cornerstones of our company, and something we embed in everything we do. In celebration of European Mobility Week, we want to highlight our efforts in electrifying our fleet. We are committed to electric and hydrogen solutions for our transportation needs. Some numbers: 🔌 43% of our company cars are electric: We have many more electric vehicles on order and will continue to replace our fossil-fuel cars with electric ones. 🔋 10 electric vans on the road: We currently have 10 electric vans for transporting goods to our sites, and this number will expand in the coming years. 🚲 Almost 100 leased bikes: Many of our colleagues bike to work, which we strongly support as a company. 💧 4 hydrogen pool cars: These cars can be fueled at our headquarters and are available for use by our colleagues. Soon, we will be producing the hydrogen ourselves in a 100% sustainable process. We still have a long way to go to make all our transportation fully sustainable, but we strive to improve every day.     Bio-accelerators for KU Leuven 🧪 Imtech has played a crucial role in the realization of Bio-Incubator 4 and 5 for KU Leuven, two advanced laboratory buildings at the Arenberg Science Park in Leuven. These are designed to create a state-of-the-art environment for biotechnological research, supported by robust HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. Our installed systems, including 4-pipe heat pumps and lab control valves, provide precise control of temperature and airflow. With robust buffer tanks for both heating and cooling and smart flow control systems, we ensure reliable and efficient operation of the research facilities. 🔬 The result?     🌍 World Green Building Week: duurzaam logistiek centrum voor GXO Logistics, Inc. Duurzaamheid is voor ons meer dan een doel, het is een kernwaarde. Daarom delen wij voor World Green Building Week onze realisatie voor GXO Logistics in Tongeren. Met onze expertise in groene bouwtechnieken hebben we een energiezuinig en toekomstbestendig gebouw gerealiseerd dat niet alleen voldoet aan de hoogste normen, maar ook een voorbeeld stelt voor de sector. Dit project onderstreept onze inzet voor een groenere en efficiëntere toekomst. 🌿 Wat maakt dit project bijzonder? ✅ Energiezuinig en fossielvrij: Het gebouw is volledig fossielvrij met geen CO2- of NOx-uitstoot en streeft naar een BREEAM ‘Excellent’ certificering. ✅ Duurzame structuur: De prefab betonstructuur is volledig vervaardigd door C-concrete , terwijl C-fire zorgde voor de brandblussers en veiligheidspictogrammen. ✅ Zonne-energie: Een PV-installatie met 500 kWp zonnepanelen, uitbreidbaar voor toekomstige fases, voorziet in de elektrische voeding. Overschotten worden opgeslagen in een centrale batterij van C-battery, met monitoring door een smart grid gebouwenbeheerssysteem.
