The Community Foundation thanks Venny Torre & Coco Palenque Torre for their innovative and generous commitment to Historic Preservation and Culture in Coral Gables. Together, they support the causes that matter most to them through the Torre Family Charitable Fund. A Donor Advised Fund acts as your charitable investment account for the purpose of supporting the causes and organizations you care about on your timeframe, while we handle all of the back office and administrative support. To learn about establishing your own fund, please contact the Community Foundation at 305-446-9670 or [email protected].

The Coral Gables Community Foundation has engaged the @University of Miami’s Community and Educational Well-Being Research Center to conduct a Needs Assessment with the Coral Gables community. As part of this work, researchers at the University of Miami will host several focus groups this summer to hear directly from YOU, our community members, to gain your perspectives on the greatest needs in our community. These informal group discussions will take place in July, both live and via zoom, and last approximately 75 minutes. Each participant will receive a $50 gift card for their participation. We would like to invite you to be part of this important effort. If you would like to participate in one of the discussions, please visit https://lnkd.in/eDv5TvTh to select a time that works for you. We also want to hear from our community’s young people. If you have young people in your lives (ages 14-17) who would like to participate, please fill out the linked form with their information and we’ll add them to the list for consideration. Thank you for your help in keeping Coral Gables a world-class city with a hometown feel!

The non-profit organizations included in our 2024 Look Book have been approved for a grant by the Coral Gables Community Foundation’s Community Giving Program. We are able to grant at least the minimum requested amount for most requests, but many applicants need more to effectuate the program described. We encourage you, our Fund Holders and our community to join us in funding these worthwhile programs. Please visit our 2024 Community Grants Look Book for more information or to make a contribution: https://lnkd.in/eEmc-d7M The Coral Gables Community Foundation Community Giving program is made possible by the generosity of Merrick Society Donors, our corporate partners and patrons of our Annual Gala, Wine Auction and Tour of Kitchens.
