It’s time to shine the spotlight on September’s #ConnectwithCooper—Rachel Williams! 🌟 Rachel has been a dedicated Human Resources Generalist with us for over a year, bringing patience, positivity, and a welcoming smile to every interaction. Thank you, Rachel, for everything you do to make our team stronger! "I currently work as a Human Resources Generalist in the Nashville office. I serve as the point of contact for both our Nashville and Kentucky offices. I help with recruitment, benefits, and any employee questions. I also try to create employee engagement events in the office to get people connected beyond the day-to-day duties of our jobs. In addition, I help our department with any other projects for Cooper Steel as a whole. I started my career with Cooper Steel a little over a year ago, and I like to think I have added to my repertoire of knowledge and skills during that time! I have really grown in my abilities when it comes to employee interaction and guidance. I love the constant change in our department. When things change in the "world" of employment, HR is responsible for making that change smooth and effective for our company. I like solving new problems and getting creative with solutions. Everyone is unique, so everyone needs a different approach when it comes to any issues, concerns, or questions. The work our department does is often behind the scenes, so I love it when a project is complete, and I'm able to see the hard work come to life. It's motivating to know that your actions impact the reason someone comes to work. Everyone is working for Cooper Steel for a particular reason, so being able to give people peace of mind about their family's health benefits, their paycheck for a new house, or the ability to grow as a person by moving up professionally or hiring someone and giving them the opportunity to take care of themselves or others is rewarding. All these things fall under HR, but each one is a huge deal for that person. It makes me take what I do seriously and try to always improve my own skillset. My most memorable time with Cooper was last fall when I had been with the company for less than a year. I had a family member unexpectedly pass away, and I have never had so much genuine care and concern for my personal life from my coworkers; it meant so much to me. I was blown away by the care and support that I received from everyone at Cooper Steel."

Updates loading. ⌛ Cooper Steel's shop and Shelbyville campus have expanded an additional 42,000 square feet in just this fiscal year alone, bringing us to 150,000 total square feet. With fully air-conditioned fabrication facilities and new advanced technology additions, we're reinforcing our commitment to being the best in the nation!

We had a fantastic time hosting high school counselors and educators from across the South in our shop and office yesterday to provide a look at different career opportunities! Thank you to all who attended for partnering with us to give students valuable tools and resources for future success. 🌟
