What a great and inspiring evening we had last Monday! Our Consul General Marco Sermoneta and the Economic Attachée Omer Fein met yesterday with the Secretary of the California Department of Food and Agriculture, Ms. Karen Ross, to explore agricultural partnerships between Israel and the State of California. California is a worldwide leader in agricultural production and innovation. More crops, such as almonds, grapes, and dairy, are produced in California than any other state in the US. Israel is a global leader in agricultural, water, and cleantech technologies and is proud to be the birthplace of major innovations in irrigation, precision agriculture, and robotics. Working together, California and Israel can change the world for the better and make dramatic progress toward solving difficult challenges like climate change and food insecurity. We are excited for the fruits of future collaborations between #California and #Israel.

Winners of the tender will receive grants of up to NIS 40 million over a period of up to 5 years to set up incubators focused on health, bio-convergence, climate, agri-tech, food-tech, and other sectors.
