We’re saving the places Floridians love. For nature. For people. Forever.
About us
Conservation Florida is grounded by a deep love for Florida and a history of impactful boots-on-the-ground land conservation. We are a statewide land conservancy protecting Florida's natural and agricultural landscapes with a primary focus on saving land within the Florida Wildlife Corridor. From Pensacola to the Florida Keys, Conservation Florida has led the way in strategic and evidence-based land protection since our founding in 1999. Conservation Florida is an effective, energetic, collaborative organization working on your behalf to protect Florida’s land, water, wildlife, and way of life. We save land by facilitating, purchasing, or accepting donations of land and conservation easements, serving as a trusted community partner to support statewide land conservation, and through effective advocacy, education, and outreach programming. #ProtectourParadise Learn more about us here: https://conservationfla.org/about Follow us on social! We're looking at Sarracenia species 😍 Florida's wetlands are home to more species of carnivorous plants than anywhere else in the U.S., but these carnivorous cuties face threats. Less than 3% of the original Sarracenia habitat along the Gulf Coastal Plain remains — countless acres have been lost to development. It's up to us to protect paradise ☀️ because it's not just 𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 — it's 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒊𝒓𝒔, too. (Also don't be a plant poacher, please!) 📸: @lilliumbyrd

Looks like oasis to us. On the water or in the weeds, we hope you find yours this weekend in Wild Florida 💚 Geologists estimate there are more than 1,000 springs in Florida.💧That means we may have the largest concentration of freshwater springs on this planet! 🌎 Maybe we should be called the Spring State instead?? 📸: @followthiscouple

We hereby declare 𝑴𝒐𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒔🫡 and nothing else, please. These majestic wonders are keystone species. 🗝️ Yes, they've got the key to our hearts, but more importantly, they support the survival of their entire coastal communities. They're also often referred to as "kidneys of the coast," since they're such stellar filters. 📸: @jasonmac7

A Seminole County stunner if we ever saw one. I mean, look at those knees! (We're talkin' bout the roots!) Botanists have long wondered what they're for — so if you've ever scratched your head in confusion, you're not alone 🤔 It's been theorized that cypress knees assist in structure stabilization & oxygen absorption (though this one is questionable). 📸: @ank_hrz

🤍🐄 This #CowAppreciationDay, we're showing some love to these unsung heroes of conservation & the hardworking ranchers who care for them. Only ~20% of ranchlands within the Florida Wildlife Corridor are currently protected, but we're working side by side with Florida's OG conservationists to change that. Join us in thanking our ranching community for their dedication to sustainable land stewardship and the conservation of our beautiful state. Can we get a #CowsKeepFloridaGreen?? 📸: Our very own @adamstrangbass
