Yesterday Connecticut Mirror published an op-ed that the Connecticut Land Conservation Council co-authored with Audubon Connecticut, Connecticut Association of Conservation Districts, and Rivers Alliance of Connecticut. The article is a timely reminder of how nature-based solutions are necessary for addressing the interrelated biodiversity and climate crises, highlighting the legislation under consideration by the General Assembly (SB 11 and HB 5004) that would provide our state with the policies that elevate nature-based solutions to make Connecticut more resilient. Great news! CLCC is officially launching the Climate Smart Land Stewardship Program. After being awarded funds from the Connecticut Department of Agriculture, this grant program will make $500,000 available to land trusts in the form of planning and implementation grants.
