The Congruent Ventures team spends much of the year working with our portfolio companies to pull together our Annual Climate Impact Report, and we are thrilled to hit the publish button! Over the past seven years Congruent Ventures has been at the forefront of fostering innovation and sustainability, contributing to the creation of over 2,300 climate-related jobs and generating more than $4.9 billion of enterprise value across 54 companies. Notably, 80% of our investments were in the first institutional round with over 50% of our investments led by at least one underrepresented individual. Despite the relative youth of our portfolio companies, an impressive 83% of them have successfully raised follow-on capital, a testament to their viability and potential for growth. I'm really excited to share more about our latest investment at Congruent, Halcyon, which we co-led with Andrew Beebe and the Obvious Ventures team. Also great to have finally met and work with the better version of me, Shomik Dutta (I'm not sure how many more times we can make this joke). It has been amazing to be part of the journey (even if only for a short bit) - from working with Bruce Falck on business ideas, to seeing the rest of the amazing team come together - Nat Bullard J L. Alexander Huras. This is truly a rockstar team that has decades of experience with both AI/ML and hunting down energy transition data. They are going to change how we're able to access and use decarbonization and energy data. So much of that information is publicly available but extremely hard to access without degrees and decades of experience. We need to make it easier for people to access and analyze this information so we can all start making faster and better decisions around the energy transition. Looking forward to building something great with this team. It's crazy to see how much progress they've made in just a few short months.
