Compass is thrilled to announce we have received our first Zero Waste to Landfill Validation from UL Solutions! Compass has always championed zero waste, and achieving UL's Zero Waste to Landfill Validation affirms our commitment to be good stewards of the environment and good neighbors. Achieving this milestone means our Toronto data center responsibly recycles all waste, significantly reducing our carbon footprint. Our goal is to achieve UL Zero Waste standards at all campuses, with validation of other sites underway. This validation supports our broader strategy to enhance energy efficiency, reduce emissions and positively impact water resources. Congratulations to the Compass Global Operations Compliance team who worked tirelessly to earn this accreditation! Read more here: https://lnkd.in/dPMcVfjx #Sustainability #ZeroWaste

Front-line supervisors from Sundt Construction, Rosendin and Performance Contracting, Inc. (PCI) joined in role-playing exercises at the launch of our #Frontliners program at our Phoenix campus. The program strengthens safety by creating a culture that welcomes and celebrates supervisors who humbly acknowledge improvement areas–including when there have been mistakes or setbacks. Special recognition goes to Frontliner Paul Corral, QAQC GF from Rosendin Electric, who identified a moment of vulnerability and shared it as a learning opportunity. Thank you, Paul! Actions and words are one at Compass. We take our commitment to be a good neighbor seriously. When neighbors near our Leesburg, Virginia data center said the sound coming from it was perceptible at their homes, we went to work. Studies showed the overall volume was on par with a whisper and well within the county’s ordinance for volume, but we wanted to know more. We dug deep and discovered an elevated pitch stemming from fan mounts disrupting airflow. With our partner, Vertiv, we re-engineered the mounting systems and eliminated the pitch. Be sure to read the full case study on our solution here: https://lnkd.in/guCBu9FY

Yesterday we celebrated the opening of Schneider Electric's 105,000-square-foot integration facility on Compass’ Red Oak, Texas campus. The new facility will build prefabricated modular infrastructure to satisfy the growing demand for new data centers throughout the U.S. A huge shoutout to Schneider Electric for their partnership, which continues to evolve and set new standards in the industry, and thanks to the visionary leaders in the City of Red Oak, Texas for supporting this project all along the way! Yesterday was a celebration of our collaboration and innovation. Here's to the future! Read the full release here: https://lnkd.in/gNtrEGPF

We appreciate the Chicago Sun-Times' thoughtful coverage of our kickoff at the former Sears HQ last week alongside ComEd and the Village of Hoffman Estates. At Compass, we go slow to go fast, and this is just a first step in transforming the historic site into key infrastructure for the digital economy. https://lnkd.in/gbpzP93J
