  • We've just taken an amazing step forward in our goal to provide dignified housing for the people of our South Florida Community! Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick presented a check for $1,000,000.00 to Community Partners of South Florida for the building and renovation of affordable multi-unit housing off of Tamarind Avenue in the Coleman Park neighborhood of West Palm Beach. “This investment will revitalize our neighbors and empower Community Partners of South Florida to ensure that more individuals and families can access the resources they need to thrive,” said Congresswoman Cherfilus-McCormick.“ This project is about transforming lives and creating new opportunities for economic growth, improving community health and fostering a strong sense of neighborhood and pride.” Depending on zoning, we aim to use part of the funds to renovate a commercial building that will serve our neighbors and include retail space for small businesses. Plus, with this support, we plan to add affordable housing units above the commercial space. The remaining funds will help lay the foundation for a multi-building affordable housing development, providing dignified housing options for our growing workforce and families. "Looking ahead, this project promises great things for our community!" proclaimed our CEO Kelly Powell. "This funding will not only provide safe and dignified housing for families but also strengthen our neighborhoods and stimulate our local economy. We are committed to ensuring everyone has access to quality housing in a community of their choice." Renovation of the commercial space kicks off later this year, and if approved, groundbreaking for the housing units above will start in late 2025. CPSFL's overarching goal is for West Palm Beach residents to Work, Play, and STAY! #southfloridanews #southfloridacommunity #teamcpsfl

  • Technology is the new dividing line that leaves our most disconnected neighborhoods behind, causing detrimental consequences. That's why we at CPSFL started the award-winning Digital Inclusion Program (DIP). DIP is a program that is helping close the tech gap for people across our South Florida community by providing access to technology education, equipment, Wi-Fi and more to our clients in order to they can be through digital literacy and support. Curious to see how you and your teens could benefit from this program? Scan the QR code or click below to get started! https://lnkd.in/ekPDwhzt #DigitalInclusion #southfloridacommunity #teamcpsfl

  • As we reach the halfway point of July, we want to address a significant issue which deserves awareness. A research article in BMC Public Health concluded: "Mental illness stigma is higher among ethnic minorities than majorities." As we work to help our community thrive together, it's important to remember that the first step is to break down the barriers of stigma. Seeking mental health support is valid no matter the reason, and seeking it early is responsible and a way to work towards becoming the best version of yourself. If you are curious to start your mental health journey, or looking to partner with us to make it more accessible to everyone in our community, call us 561-841-3500 #NationalMinorityHealthMonth #mentalhealthadvocacy #communitymentalhealth

  • As we close out the month of June, we're taking the time this #MileStoneMonday to celebrate and reflect on the impact we've made on housing in our South Florida Community this month! We held NeighborWorks Week which included our Heirs' Rights Property Panel, Commissioner Mack Bernard's Proclamation, and our Sip to Celebrate Reception. Not to mention we hosted our most successful Housing Fair yet! We believe a home is more than just the concrete, stucco, and tile that go into it. A home is a place to raise a family, be part of a community, and to build wealth, and we're looking forward to making homeownership a reality for more and more of our community! #floridanonprofit #southfloridacommunity #teamcpsfl
