Nice Work Seniors!!!
Three senior capstone project teams worked on important water infrastructure projects for the City of Columbus this year. Two teams focused on the Columbus Department of Water’s Hap Cremean Water Plant, producing a preliminary design report for standard dual-media filters conversion to biologically active filters with upstream intermediate ozonation to address disinfection by-products and taste and odor. Team members: Victoria Douthat, Olivia Reed, Charles Farmer, Taylor Bautista, Megan Nicholson & Isaac Martin The third team took their talents to the Southerly Wastewater Treatment Plant to help develop a soft sensor to monitor influent flow from multiple inputs to improve resiliency for wet weather flows, especially during storms.
