Announcing our next downtown display: GIANT BUGS! 🐛🦟🐞 We're loading the humongous animatronics into Main Library on August 13. Each model is 6 to 10 feet tall! Come face-to-face with a massive firefly, grasshopper, stag beetle, blue-eyed darner and orb web spider. 🕸️ 🤝 The huge insects are provided by Billings Productions, Inc. Keeping it fresh from the haircut to the bookshelf 💈 We partnered with 10 local barbershops to provide free books for children to read before and during their cut. According to Barbershop Books, Inc., kids at participating barbershops are more likely to be observed reading than doing any other activity, including using a mobile device! The New York City-based nonprofit partners with libraries across the country to curate culturally relevant content that cultivates children's reading identity. #Community #Partnership #Barbershops
