We’re excited to announce the launch of the CDP AI Builder Grants Program, offering five $3000 grants! The potential of AI onchain is huge. Previously, a major barrier to building AI applications was the inability of AI agents to manage automated payments. Coinbase’s MPC Wallets solves this, AI agents can now send and receive USDC payments for free on Base and even earn yield on USDC wallet balances. All you need to do to qualify for one of our five $3000 grants is: ➤ Build AI bots that utilize Coinbase’s MPC Wallets. ➤ Apply for a grant before the deadline on September 5th, 2024.We cannot wait to see what you all build! Apply here: https://lnkd.in/gPsgF2XV Start building with MPC Wallets here: https://lnkd.in/gP7iDid2 More info: https://lnkd.in/gx5539YK Questions? Join our Discord: https://lnkd.in/g25gwE5W

  • As the most trusted name in crypto, we put every AVS under a heavy due diligence process before adding support. We’re happy to share that AltLater MACH is the newest AVS our operator supports 🎉 Let’s take a closer look at what AltLayer MACH does, and how it’s adding value to the rollup landscape 👇 Rollups have become ubiquitous, and they are transforming Ethereum. Rollups handle transaction loads faster and cheaper on another layer, and with rollup SDKs and RaaS providers, deploying rollups is now as easy as deploying smart contracts. For rollups to continue to provide such a high level of utility, they need support. We’re excited about AltLayer MACH as it brings together a suite of modular services necessary for efficient rollup operations: verification, fast finality, and sequencing. By supporting AltLayer MACH, Coinbase is advancing Ethereum's capabilities sustainably. As a leader in ETH staking, we offer simple and trusted staking solutions for individuals, institutions, and developers. Discover more → https://lnkd.in/gqKAmqEM

  • At Coinbase, we strive to promote blockchain innovations that make staking more accessible to individuals, institutions, and developers. Building up our ETH restaking solution with progressive new technologies like the Hyperlane AVS is yet another milestone in our progress towards this mission. So, what is Hyperlane? 👇 Hyperlane is an Actively Validated Service (AVS) that provides an open interoperability framework for modular blockchain stacks. Or, more simply, it powers interchain communication. Hyperlane makes it easy for blockchain and dapp developers to build experiences that are more connected, and as result, more accessible to users. We are proud to add support for Hyperlane to the roster of AVSs on our EigenLayer operator. Ready to learn more about Hyperlane? Read our deep dive: https://lnkd.in/g-EkP-5u

As the leading ETH staking provider, we are always on the cutting edge of product innovation. We continue that legacy today with the addition of support for the Brevis ZK Coprocessor AVS on our EigenLayer operator. Brevis is a ZK coprocessor that lets smart contracts read historical onchain data from supported blockchains. This provides customizable, trustless computations, making it easier for developers to build dapp features like intent-based liquidity management, loyalty trading programs, and account reputation systems (to name just a few). This launch is inclusive of the new Brevis coChain which introduces additional benefits to users through a propose-challenge architecture. The propose-challenge architecture enables proposers to generate and submit coprocessing results onchain without completing the entire ZK Proof computation. The addition of another AVS furthers our commitment to advancing blockchain technology and making staking (and restaking) more accessible. We strive to produce ETH staking solutions that are as innovative as they are easy to use. • Coinbase is pleased to announce that EigenDA will be the first AVS on EigenLayer that our Operator will support. EigenDA is a data availability (DA) solution built by the EigenLabs team. It's the first AVS to launch on EigenLayer, the restaking protocol enabling projects to leverage Ethereum’s security to create decentralized networks. DA refers to guaranteeing that all transaction data is available for network nodes to verify blocks. But there’s a problem. As the number of transactions increases, requiring all nodes to download all transaction data prevents scaling. This is known as the DA problem. Enter rollups (i.e., L2s), which help Ethereum scale by moving transactions off-chain, bundling them, and posting the compressed data to mainnet (via call data) so nodes can verify their veracity. But as L2s grow, we run into the same DA bottleneck. This is where DA scaling solutions like EigenDA come in. To learn more 👉🏼 https://brnw.ch/21wJntk

  • Ethereum’s next network upgrade is expected to increase the maximum ETH from which a validator can earn staking rewards (known as MaxEB) from 32 ETH to 2,048 ETH. The change — arguably the biggest since the Shapella upgrade — is being made as Ethereum's validator count nears 1 million nodes and is designed to encourage consolidation among large-scale staking operators. Want to understand MaxEB and its implications better? Our new primer covers MaxEB basics, the rationale for the increase, and other considerations and downstream effects. 👉🏼 https://lnkd.in/dNPfjWvU

  • With Dencun behind us, the focus has turned toward the next Ethereum upgrade, Pectra. The most important update that’ll be included is EIP 7215, which will increase the amount of staked ETH from which stakers can earn rewards via a single validator (known as the maximum effective balance, or MaxEB) from 32 ETH to 2048 ETH. Join Bienvenido Rodriguez, Protocol Specialist at Coinbase Developer, on April 25 as he discusses MaxEB's implications with Mike Neuder from the Ethereum Foundation.
