#DYK Colorado Coalition for the Homeless opened the first building that offered permanent supportive housing in Denver in 1996. Now known as the Forum Apartments, the building used to make the 100-units of permanent supportive housing used to be home to the University of Denver’s law program. The property was conveyed to the Coalition by former Mayor Wellington Webb and the City of Denver for $10, with the understanding it would be used to house the city's most vulnerable residents. Learn more in our video showcasing updates made to the Forum Apartments https://lnkd.in/gV3p8WbK

This weekend the Denver area will experience extreme heat. Our unhoused neighbors have few places to escape the heat, at risk of life-threatening health issues because of it. Our Outreach Teams will be canvassing the city this weekend to provide medical care and link people to other resources and shelter. Your donation to the Coalition today can help keep our unhoused neighbors safe and cared for during the blistering summer months. https://lnkd.in/gNSDUjrS
