We are pleased to announce the upcoming retirement of Francis Audette, Director of Operations - District II, effective September 28, 2024. Francis has dedicated nearly 40 years to the grocery retail industry, joining us in May 2015 when MarketPlace Foods locations in Wisconsin became part of the Coborn’s, Inc. family. His leadership was pivotal in the seamless integration of these stores. In December 2021, Francis once again demonstrated his expertise by successfully integrating the Tadych’s banner into our organization. Throughout his career, he has overseen operations in Wisconsin and Michigan with compassion and care. Please join us in congratulating Francis on his well-deserved retirement and wishing him all the best in this new chapter.

The best part of my job is having the opportunity to meet the team members who serve our guests everyday. This week was no exception! In Stanley ND, I had the honor of presenting Chance Crossland (our Assistant Store Director ) with his 10 years of service pin. We are excited to announce that Nathan Tykwinski, currently our VP of Market Strategy & Development, will soon transition to the role of VP of Logistics & Store Optimization. In his new position, Nathan will provide leadership for store optimization and acquisition harmonization, inventory management, and front-end and continuous improvement strategies to enhance operational efficiencies. He will continue to oversee our Logistics, Distribution, and Warehouse operations, the Continuous Improvement Team, and Sullivan’s. Reporting to Senior VP of Operations, Troy Vosburgh, Nathan’s new role will unify all grocery operation teams end-to-end under Troy's leadership. With over 30 years at Coborn’s, Inc., Nathan has held various leadership roles, developing significant expertise in operational efficiencies and store optimization. We look forward to Nathan's transition once a new VP of Market Strategy & Development is hired.

Meet Kris A. - Shining Star at Ace Hardware, Little Falls, MN Kris A., the dedicated store manager of Ace Hardware next to Coborn's Marketplace in Little Falls, MN, has been an invaluable member of our team for over 8 years. He loves his job because it allows him to make a difference every day. Kris strives to provide every guest with an exceptional experience, trains staff through example and best practices, assigns goals and sets expectations, encourages creativity, supports staff to succeed in their tasks, and recognizes their achievements. Open communication is key for Kris, as he always asks for feedback, listens, and is open to constant changes. His favorite part of the job is creating memorable experiences for guests and fostering a supportive and creative work environment for his team.
