🔬 Ever handled a snake or built a drone to learn STEM? Cobb County educators did just that at STEMapalooza 2024! This annual summer conference brought together over 400 teachers from 70 districts for a melting pot of innovative sessions. From exploring AI and growing space tomatoes to extracting strawberry DNA and e-sports, educators geared up with cutting-edge skills. The highlight? Live reptile exhibits that had attendees getting up close and scaley with boa constrictors! 🐍 As Dr. Adam Casey said, "STEMapalooza remains an incredible opportunity for educators to unite and celebrate their passion for learning." It was an incredible experience to host music educators nationwide for our two-week Orff-Schulwerk training program this summer! This innovative approach to music education emphasizes active participation and creativity – think singing, movement, playing instruments, and improvisation – all designed to ignite a lifelong love of music in students.
