Earlier this week, our team gathered to celebrate Todd Borowski after an 11-year career with Cobb County 911. Todd joined our team in 2013 after a rewarding career of serving his country in the military and serving the community as a 911 professional in Michigan. Shortly into his career with Cobb County 911, he moved into our Training Unit as a Training Coordinator, eventually becoming the Training and Quality Assurance Manager. Todd has been instrumental in helping our agency achieve APCO Agency Training Certification Program Certification twice, opened our training classroom to public safety telecommunications professionals across the Southeast United States, and has stood at the head of the class, introducing hundreds of new dispatchers into the career of public safety telecommunications on their first day of the Basic Communications Officer course. Nearly half of our team has trained with Todd at the head of their training. Along with his training career, Todd will be remembered for his contributions to the industry as a peer supporter. In 2016, Todd established the first peer support team at Cobb County 911. He also created the Georgia 911 Peer Support Network and has provided a listening ear and shoulder to cry on for public safety personnel across the state. While Todd's absence will be deeply felt at Cobb County 911, we are excited about the next chapter in his life. We love you, Todd. #WeAreCobb911
