Content, marketing, and #digital pros are known to be mavericks. They have to be – if they want to survive in this breakneck, warp-speed world of #DX. It’s no surprise that with the advent of #AI tools, many of these ambitious provocateurs rushed headstrong into the techie embrace of #ChatGPT and hundreds of other AI tools on the market. But are they considering how to use them responsibly? There’s a lot at stake, and Brian McKeiver has been thinking a lot about the opportunities and challenges. As co-owner of BizStream – a U.S.-based digital agency – he’s working closely with AI tools and #contentmanagement platforms that have integrated AI capabilities. In his Guest Critic article on CMS Critic, Brian brings his brilliance to the AI conundrum, evangelizing how “Responsible AI” is the key to achieving ethical, fair, and safe outcomes with this innovative, ever-evolving technology. “The AI and especially generative AI world is constantly changing, as are the laws and regulations around it," he says. "You must treat your AI policy as a living, breathing document. Schedule time to review it regularly, considering the changes that are coming in at a rapid pace.” This is a must-read. And as an added bonus, Brian is offering a downloadable worksheet to help guide the journey. Read it now 👉 https://lnkd.in/ehdkZCDp

Simply put, Kristina Podnar and Saira Jesani are champions of data – and their innovative work at the Data & Trust Alliance has produced inspiring results with far-reaching implications. Launched last November, the D&TA’s Data Provenance Standards provide terra firma for organizations looking to arm their #AI models and strategies with trustworthy #data. As Saira observed, the standards support better “rules for the road” around data quality, and that's translated into some notable outcomes for companies like IBM (there's a great case study in the story). The D&TA just released v1.0.0 of its Data Provenance Standards, with some key refinements based on testing, validation, and feedback. On CMS Critic, we’ve broken down the news and dug a little deeper into what this means for business value – as well as CMS, ad tech, and marketing strategies that are leveraging AI and data at a breakneck pace. Webflow is focused on a "growth flow" – and its new CEO, Linda Tong, is going to lead it. For the last two years, Tong has served as Webflow’s President and COO, drawing on proven experience and a Silicon Valley heritage at leading tech outfits like Cisco and Google. She assumes the reins from Webflow’s founder Vlad Magdalin, who will stay on as Chief Innovation Officer. Magdalin sees this moment as the beginning of Webflow’s next chapter and a pivotal moment in its journey. With revenues of its subscription-based software now in the hundreds of millions, the website-building #SaaS provider is ushering in a vision for what it calls the “Website Experience Platform.” “With this vision, we’re taking the most important part of the digital experience – the #website – and creating a seamlessly integrated and visual-first platform that allows marketing teams to break their dependence on code and innovate at speeds they could never reach before. We believe that this will not only lead to empowered, revenue-driving marketing teams, but also to a better experience for everyone on the web.” We’ve got the details on this transition – and what it means for the website building and CMS market – on CMS Critic: https://lnkd.in/ey-9pBpa

It’s hard to top the enthusiasm of 🇩🇰 Filip Bech-Larsen, Umbraco’s unshakable CTO. He’s engaged, passionate, and reflective of the culture that the #opensource CMS has endeavored to build over the last 20 years. So how does Umbraco manage to keep things “fresh” and relevant with its expansive community? By listening – and acting with intention. In my recent chat with Filip, we discussed what makes Umbraco 14 a testament to the CMS pioneer's resolve and how the growth of enterprise projects and opportunities has guided its trajectory – which includes some dynamite enhancements to its backoffice and API capabilities. All of this makes Filip bullish about his platform’s potential, and how the community continues to drive innovation and differentiation. "I think Umbraco 14 is a lot about doing what our competitors wish they could do.” For a fresh take, read our interview on CMS Critic: https://lnkd.in/eF7xyRUq

It doesn’t get much bigger than J.P. Morgan. That’s why it’s big news for the MACH Alliance that the global financial services firm is joining as a Supporter. In today’s announcement, J.P. Morgan's payments arm – which handles a breathtaking number of transactions – will provide thought leadership and share innovation around MACH and composable trends. Over the last several years, the company has embarked on its own composable transformation, embracing MACH technologies and principles in key areas like online and omnichannel payments, fraud protection services, and more. The addition of such a premier brand also reflects the continued growth of MACH in both the U.S. market and across the globe. Kate Walton, chief commercial officer, merchant payments at J.P. Morgan Payments, is clearly focused on what MACH represents for customers. “The movement toward MACH is an exciting transformation, and we look forward to helping our clients accelerate innovation to better deliver more seamless and secure experiences for their end customers in a rapidly evolving landscape." Read more about the details – and why it matters – on CMS Critic.
