From a napkin idea to a global company
Cloudbeds began in 2012 when co-founders Richard Castle and Adam Harris were traveling in Brazil and discovered how difficult it was to book local accommodation. Frustrated by this disconnect, they dreamed of a better way: a platform that would allow any property to run their lodging business successfully. Since then, Cloudbeds has been through four financing rounds, acquired multiple companies, and driven billions in revenue for tens of thousands of properties in more than 150 countries.

We’ve been remote-first since our start in 2012, not just so we can travel and have work-life flexibility, but also so there are no boundaries in recruiting the most talented, passionate, and fearless people wherever they are in the world. We’re a team of engineers, designers, hotel managers, big data experts, and most importantly avid travelers. We’re made up of more than 700 people in over 50 different countries, and speak 30 different languages.
