I had the privilege of speaking at ClimaTech Live 2024 in Boston where I discussed three areas where I believe climate change will impact investors. ➡ Climate transition readiness which includes better disclosure to enable investors to allocate capital in a better-informed manner when funding the transition ➡ Climate risks – both financial and physical - including direct exposure to carbon pricing, risk of stranded assets, exposure to regulation or litigation and exposure to severe weather and/or supply chain disruption, and ➡ Climate-enabling opportunities including, Government support and subsidies, blended finance, green products, services, and solutions. #ClimaTechLive #ClimaTech #ClimateInnnovation

This week, our CVP of Automotive and Energy Patrick Morgan took the stage alongside policymakers, government officials and clean tech innovators during the inaugural ClimaTech Live. His discussion explored the importance of intelligence at the edge of the electric grid. Here are our main takeaways from the conversation: ▶ The industry must empower communities to participate in the transition to clean energy by providing visibility into real-time personal energy consumption. ▶ Semiconductors are foundational in driving electrification and enabling a #SmartGrid by adding intelligence at the edge across the electrification ecosystem, which can help to achieve grid resiliency. ▶ To accelerate the transition to a modern #SmartGrid, a collaborative approach is required to leverage data-backed grid assessment to address system maintenance and scalability.

Yesterday, Mass Mobility Hub had the pleasure of hosting two insightful and engaging events as part of ClimaTech Live. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our inspiring panelists, the Healey-Driscoll Administration, the City of Boston, the Climatech leadership and organizers, and everyone who attended for making these sessions a resounding success. Our Executive Director, Jamey Tesler, delivered a compelling talk on the evolving landscape of our cities and transportation systems. The discussion centered around two potential scenarios for 2040: a safer, cleaner, and more equitable system versus increased congestion and advancing climate crisis. The key takeaway? We must strive to shape our future towards Scenario 1, ensuring a sustainable and inclusive transportation ecosystem. We were thrilled to feature an excellent panel of experts: Shannon Dulaney, itselectric; Chris Morem, Net Zero Logistics; Reggie Ramos, Transportation For Massachusetts; Yibiao Zhao, ISEE ; and our own Jamey Tesler, to imagine the streets, rails, and pathways of tomorrow. This session offered a unique opportunity to learn from innovative companies leading the way in transforming our streets and mobility ecosystem, with an emphasis on ensuring sustainability, equity and reaching our ambitious climate goals. Massachusetts boasts a robust climatetech ecosystem, and Mass Mobility Hub is committed to supporting and working within this ecosystem to drive meaningful change. We look forward to continuing our collaboration and fostering innovation to create a sustainable future for all.
