EDICT Interns had the privilege of hearing from Akhilesh Ramakrishnan on the topic of grid technologies and energy fundamentals! Thank you Akhilesh for sharing your time and expertise with the current EDICT cohort. And, shout-out to CELI alumni, Long Lam, who passed the torch this year to his colleague on a workshop he's developed over the last three years.

This year, we kicked off #EDICT2024 with a session on energy and environmental justice led by CELI alum, and EDICT partnership director, Rozina Kanchwala. The session brought to light how historical policies and injustices continue to impact frontline communities. Throughout the summer, interns will hear from leaders in the clean energy and environmental space and we want to ensure that principles of #justice are central to each conversation.

🏡 Generating enough energy to power an average of 30,000 Arkansas homes each year, our awesome corporate partner, EDP Renewables North America just announced that they will be harnessing #solarenergy in #Arkansas, with a 175-megawatt (MW) solar park, Crooked Lake Solar Park! ☀⚡ A special focus was placed on STEM education and local community impact, utilizing the construction of the project to educate K-12 students at Armorel School District and Blytheville School District on the benefits of wind and solar through school visits and science-related challenges organized in partnership with KidWind. 📰 Read more at: https://lnkd.in/gfgwDm-S

We did it almost a week ago now, but our fundraiser is going strong through June 1! Huge, heartfelt high fives to the Eco.Cyclers who spent two days cycling the gorgeous, but steep, Petaluma hills to raise funds for Clean Energy Leadership Institute and Eco.Logic Programs supported 100% by Climate Ride! Cumulatively, this team biked 855 miles! Hanging out with Rozina Kanchwala, Troy Hodges, Allison Cooper, Casey Timmerman, Priya Patil, Steve Chan, Justin Gilbert, Kristina Norris, Zahra Lalani, and Esther Morales was the best -- the comradery, the laughter, the support, the deep convos, and more) 🙌 So many CELIons have already supported this little team, including VIPs above, as well as Ainee Athar, Hannah Kornfeld, Phillip Burgoyne-Allen, Mitchell Taylor, John Delurey, Kumar Jensen, and Tomas Green. And, thanks EDICT alum, Dorian Cyubahiro. To all of you thanks for answering our call 💚. Our fundraiser is open through June! If you’re able to contribute, please do! All money raised will go directly towards supporting Clean Energy Leadership Institute and Eco.Logic Programs equity-centered programming initiatives and scholarship funds. HUGE shoutout and thank you to the team Climate Ride for providing an amazing experience for us. #climateride #ecocyclers #california #climatecommunity #ecocomminuty #celi

The Clean Energy Leadership Institute has supported over 1,200 #CELIFellows over the last ten years, and our #alumni are doing remarkable work. Today is #NationalBikeMonth, and we want to highlight Rozina Kanchwala who has put together our first Climate Ride, and so much more! Not only does Rozina Kanchwala lead CELI's EDICT partnership, but she is the founder and executive director of Eco.Logic Programs, a playwright, an artist, an activist, and one who continues to learn about all things to do with plants and land stewardship. She also bikes!!! Most importantly, Rozina is someone who makes this world a better place, every single day. Her action is inspiring, and she leads with her values at every turn. Today, we are biking to raise funds for #equity and #access in our educational programs. Can you chip in $15 to join Clean Energy Leadership Institute and Eco.Logic Programs to get us closer to our goal? We ride May 18 & May 19 in Northern California, and your support will give us momentum going up those #hills: https://lnkd.in/gFBH8S_9 Super excited to be biking alongside Rozina Kanchwala, Zahra Lalani, Troy Hodges, Steve Chan, Casey Timmerman, Allison Cooper, Justin Gilbert, Kristina Norris, and Priya Patil!
