Congrats to you, Tiara Hughes on this milestone .. 🎉🎉
I am thrilled to share that I’ve accepted a new role as Deputy Commissioner in the Department of Planning and Development for the City of Chicago! 🎉🎉 For the past five years, it’s been a true honor to serve as a Landmarks Commissioner, helping to preserve, advocate and celebrate the rich architectural history of our neighborhoods. Now, I am beyond excited to continue my commitment to Chicago in this new capacity, where I’ll be spearheading initiatives that ensure we’re building a more efficient, innovative, and community-centered city for all. What makes this opportunity even more exciting is the chance to apply the knowledge I’m currently gaining from my MBA at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. From data-driven decision-making to innovative problem-solving, I look forward to leveraging these new skills to make a real difference in how we plan and develop for the future of Chicago. This is not just a new role—it’s a chance to blend my passions for urban development, community impact, and strategic improvement in a way that will help shape the future of our great city. I’m looking forward to collaborating with incredible colleagues, partners, and community leaders to drive impactful change across Chicago. Here’s to continued growth, innovation, and a brighter future for Chicago! 🏙️ #ChicagoLeads #UrbanInnovation #SmartCities #BoothMBA #LeadershipInAction #CommunityImpact #FutureOfCities #PublicSectorInnovation #CityOfChicago #ChiProud #ProgressForAll #NewBeginnings #tiarastruth
