Yesterday, the City of Cleveland, in collaboration with partners, launched the Memorial Street Sign program to honor the memory of CMSD teacher Danielle Chronister. Chronister was tragically killed on November 3, 2021, when a truck driver failed to yield as she walked to work. Developed with Danielle's family and Bike Cleveland, this program aims to remind drivers to be cautious and allows families to request City-sponsored signage memorializing loved ones killed in traffic crashes on Cleveland streets. This initiative complements the City’s Vision Zero efforts to eliminate traffic fatalities through improved street design and safety strategies.
