Job Opportunity: Transition Manager at City Charter High School Location: 201 Stanwix Street, Pittsburgh, PA   Hiring Salary Range: $50,500 - $62,710 (negotiable based on experience) About Us:   City Charter High School is a dynamic institution committed to guiding and empowering students through the transition from high school to postsecondary education or work. We believe in creating strong pathways for every graduate’s future success, and we’re seeking a Transition Manager to lead this mission with dedication, insight, and motivation. Position Overview:   The Transition Manager will oversee the comprehensive transition process for students, working closely with teachers, advisors, parents, and professionals to ensure each student has a tailored college and career plan. You’ll play a pivotal role in designing and managing the transition protocol, as well as providing guidance and resources to maximize student opportunities for success in the year following graduation. Key Responsibilities: - Design and manage a systematic protocol that ensures each graduate transitions effectively. - Collaborate with advisors, support staff, career teachers, and families to develop individualized student plans. - Provide necessary support to enhance graduates’ success in their first year after high school. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of experience in secondary education, college admissions, or related fields. - Master’s degree in secondary education, counseling, or pupil personnel services preferred. - Demonstrated experience in a successful guidance program or similar role. 🎉 Congratulations to City High senior Zane Aqra for becoming an Eagle Scout! 🦅 Zane recently passed his Eagle Scout Board of Review after 6 months of dedication and preparation. For his project, Zane led the renovation of two parklets in South Oakland, which included creating informative signs, repairing fences, building a flower bed barrier, and cleaning up debris. With over 95 volunteer hours from 32 volunteers, Zane's project made a huge impact on the community.
