CITY OF ZANESVILLE TO PARTNER WITH ZHS IN STUDENT PROGRAM A new student government program will begin next year, allocating 30 spots for students from Zanesville City Schools to attend classes while working for local government organizations. Participants will have opportunities to work in a career minded environment early on while still receiving education and the city will be able to introduce public works careers to students. Students will receive a pay rate of $15.85 per hour through the city and they will also be participating in PERS, the public employee retirement system. Divisions students can pick from include sanitation, street department, vehicle maintenance, water treatment, wastewater treatment and water maintenance. https://lnkd.in/g5CpGzXy
