'FIRST RESPONDERS DAY' AT REID PARK ZOO SATURDAY - The Erik Hite Foundation and Reid Park Zoo are once again partnering to honor first responders for their hard work and dedication in keeping our community safe. During the second annual "First Responders Day" Saturday, Sept. 28, from 8 a.m.-2 p.m., first responders and up to five family members each will receive $1 admission to the Zoo with a badge or paycheck stub as a form of ID. Since the demanding work of first responders can sometimes limit their ability to attend events with their families, they do not need to be present for their families to enjoy this special day (with proper ID). First responders include firefighters, police, EMTs, security officers, state troopers, border patrol agents, coast guard, crime investigators and technicians, 911 personnel, corrections officers, and intelligence personnel. In addition to discounted Zoo admission, the event will include music, snacks, giveaways and information on community resources for first responders and their families. The discount is only available in person at the front entrance. #Event #Community #Zoo #Park #Admission #Tucson #Pima #Arizona
