CAA receives a $1,000 Grant from the Magnified Giving Program. After research, students from Campbell County Middle School selected CAA as their non-profit program of the year. We were very honored and humbled to accept this award. Earlier this week, we hosted a resource fair in partnership with Hamilton County Commission on Women & Girls and the 513 Relief Bus to bring awareness to the community of the different agencies available around the city for your improvement. Congressman Greg Landsman visited the Ted Berry Head Started where he helped unveil the new natural playground at the facility. Congressman Landsman was also given the PROMISE Award from the National Head Start Association. Mayor Ruby Kinsey-Mumphrey was elected as the Mayor of the Village of Lincoln Heights in 2018. She is a WeThrive Ambassador with the Hamilton County Public Health for the Village of Lincoln Heights. She has a background in management, court stenography and she has worked as a Tax Analyst for more than 26 years.

CAA welcomes Mayor John Smith to the Board of Directors. Mayor Smith is a lifelong Cincinnatian. He grew up in the West End and graduated from Taft High School. He began serving as the Mayor of the Village of Silverton in 2005 and previously served 12 years as a council member. Mayor Smith is a former recipient of the Martin Luther King Jr. Keeping the Dream Alive Award, and he received the Cincinnati NAACP Theodore M. Berry Award, recognizing his dedication to public service.

CAA's Leadership Team had the opportunity to speak to legislators in D.C. about the direct services CAA provides to Hamilton County. It is important to continue conversations like these between legislators and our Agency so that our legislators know that we recognize and appreciate the work that they are doing while in office and so they know the impact it has in our community. #CincyCAA
