Thanks to the hard work of Representative Chuck Efstration, Georgia is turning away from ineffective Housing First policies and towards supportive housing with built-in accountability programs. Homeless Georgians need more than just a roof over their heads: they need reliable employment and a path to wellness. Georgia's state housing accountability programs will ensure that all these needs are met. https://lnkd.in/dteYUbsE

Building a skilled workforce begins with hiring skilled workers. People want to put their experience and talents to use—why are they met with a paper barrier?
America’s bachelor degree obsession is killing the economy and holding back millions of talented workers. Now there’s a bold campaign to ditch degree requirements, and it could unleash a whole new skilled workforce:

America is overregulated. 🔵America’s index of federal regulations is more than 63,000 pages long 🔵 Between 3,000 and 4,500 new rules are published every year 🔵 For 25 of the past 26 years, federal agencies have added at least 50 new regulations—with at least a $100 MILLION impact on our economy And that’s just the federal government. State regulations are piled on top of those. Regulations need to be reviewed on a regular basis to ensure they’re still serving a purpose. If they’re not, they get cut. ✂️ Read more from Cicero’s Tanner Jones and Jonathan Wolfson at the link in the first comment.

But it’s important to keep in mind that this does not apply to state regulations. “State policymakers should seize upon Loper’s momentum and strengthen checks and balances in their states,” says Cicero’s Tanner Jones. The latest from my brilliant colleague Devon Kurtz on Grants Pass and homelessness up at the Washington Examiner!
SCOTUS’s decision in Grants Pass will save lives. Activists will stop at nothing to thwart law enforcement’s role in helping the most vulnerable homeless individuals access shelter and services, even when lives are threatened by harsh weather or unsanitary facilities. Communities should reject tent cities as an acceptable component of homelessness policy.
Supreme Court rightly lets communities choose how to respond to homelessness
