Our storied, legendary brand has evolved over the last 72 years. We are getting back to who we are and winning back our neighborhoods.
Joe Guith and I first chatted about this journey for Church's Texas Chicken last September at the QSR Evolution Conference. One of the more memorable moments came when somebody asked, as an unfamiliar customer, what the brand planned to do to win his business? Joe’s answer: “Not a whole lot.” The prevailing theme for the 72-year-old brand has been to show up again for its core guests. That’s meant returning to value, compact footprints (see new design below), and a commitment to execution that aligns with what people had come to expect of Church’s over the decades. The results thus far have been compelling, with AUVs climbing to record highs, international growth ramping up, and domestic expansion beginning to peak over the horizon once more.
