This past week, I was humbled to have been inducted as a fellow in the American Academy of Nursing in Washington, DC during its 50th anniversary conference celebration. This is the highest honor of my nursing career. I am grateful for the sponsorship of Ric Cuming, Ed.D, RN, NEA-BC, FAAN and Dr. Rosemary Polomano as well as the endorsement and trust from my ChristianaCare colleagues and my ChristianaCare Nursing Excellence team in the innovation and development of our virtual acute care nursing care delivery model. Lastly, without my husband and family’s support of all of my professional pursuits none of this would’ve been possible. I am so grateful for this opportunity to continue to address nursing practice issues at the national level and look forward to the partnership with my fellows.

During National Patient Transport Week, we thank our patient escort caregivers that serve with #Excellence, #Love and a smile while helping patients get to their next destination safely. A job that requires more than a sense of direction and good pair of shoes, they often become a source of reassurance during a time for many that can bring anxiety and fear. Earlier this week our patient transport caregivers held a celebration with an ice cream sundae bar for caregivers to enjoy. #NAHTM #LoveOfHealth

Kert Anzilotti MD, MBA, has been appointed president of the Medical Group of ChristianaCare. Anzilotti has served as interim president since June 2024. He will also continue in his role as system chief medical officer of ChristianaCare. As president of the ChristianaCare Medical Group, Anzilotti will seek to improve every aspect of care for every person the Medical Group touches. He will focus on the optimization of care delivery, strategic visioning, network development, clinical technology implementation and leveraging medical informatics.
