The aim is through exploring divergent perspectives, we will find common ground upon which we can unify. About us
The Christian Impact Framework offers a bold vision to develop a standardised language, framework, and indicators for Christian impact investing and philanthropy. Currently, no such measures exist, which results in a lack of transparency, accountability, and ability to celebrate spiritual/redemptive impact. We propose the solution is a collaborative and independent effort over the next one to two years to develop a comprehensive framework that will support reporting.

It was great to be back at CEF (Christian Economic Forum) this week, where we hosted the first #christianimpactframework workshop last year. There were so many thought leaders and pioneers in Christian impact investing and philanthropy in the room! Discussions covered how to capture the intangibles of spiritual impact, the difference between faithfulness and fruitfulness measures, and further refinement of the goals. More suggestions came in for potential outcomes and the first iteration of emerging common outcome themes were shared. Progress is happening! Yesterday we had a great online workshop with German investors and entrepreneurs, hosted by Creative Kingdom Solutions. We discussed the CIF working goals and implementation in their context. There was some robust debate about the use cases of the framework, and how to ensure distinctly Christian elements are expressed. And we were able to capture further suggestions of impact outcomes using an online whiteboard! Grateful to Jonathan Dubowy for organising, and all those who gave their time. Currently, there is no common set of goals or indicators to define spiritual impact in Christian impact investing. While frameworks and helpful language to support faith driven entrepreneurs exist, none of them have yet translated into measures of impact that have been more widely taken up. The Christian Impact Framework strives to address that gap.

Thank you to Sinapis for hosting another CIF workshop this week! It was a rich time of hearing from a room of Kenyan investors, entrepreneurs and capacity builders. As well as hundreds more contributions towards potential impact outcomes, we had a robust dialogue including the following: • The importance of culturally relevant expressions of Christian impact • Ensuring the framework is biblically and theologically robust and informed • How to capture long-term, even generational impact that is sometimes the case with spiritual impact - how to balance the need to show 'immediate results' • Should we simplify and condense the CIF categories? Do share thoughts!
