Food insecurity is a rising issue in most corners of the world — and that includes our beloved Southern Idaho community. That’s why Chobani has partnered with The Idaho Foodbank, St. Luke's Health System, and Glanbia Nutritionals to open a new community-wide refrigerated food distribution hub in Twin Falls, ID. The unit will provide the equivalent of 2,500 meals per week for local families and will hold fresh fruits, vegetables, eggs, and dairy products, including our latest shelf-stable dairy innovation — Super Milk. In honor of #HispanicHeritageMonth, our teams at La Colombe Coffee Roasters crafted a special limited-time drink that’s perfect for fall: Cielo Dulce (pronounced “see-eh-lo”). La Colombe employee Jose Aguilar created the Spanish-style latte as a nod to his own childhood drinking cafe con leche with his family. Investing in your people is one of the smartest things a business owner can do, and it’s been key to Chobani’s success since the beginning. I’m grateful for the opportunity to talk about how we are helping our people at Chobani find and help fund childcare through our partnership with Upwards. The need for affordable childcare in the US is a huge issue, and businesses have a part to play in finding solutions. It was a pleasure to join Reshma Saujani and Molly Day of Moms First, fellow business leaders and the White House Council of Economic Advisers today for some great dialogue and ideation on this issue.
