    “The technology that powers all three product modules is called Collective Learning. It comprises two key components: 1. ARSigDB A short form for Availability Risk Signature Database, ARSigDB stores codified representations of errors, failures, disruptions, incidents, and outages that have occurred elsewhere. Think of it as a 'CVE for availability'. 2. Knowledge Graph This graph learns of changes happening across hundreds of open-source projects and add-ons in the Kubernetes ecosystem to model their impact and determine the safest upgrade paths. It stores relationships among entities such as: add-ons, their versions, release notes, update considerations, and known defects. So, when you move from one version to another, we can traverse the graph and guide you along the safest path.     🧵 Platform teams need a delightfully different approach, not one that sucks less... By 2026, Gartner estimates that 80% of software engineering orgs will have established platform teams providing reusable services, components, and tools. Although this trend seems promising, the reality for platform teams is a complex maze of challenges: 1. Shared responsibility pushes complexity to platform teams. 2. Change is a constant… and all changes are availability risks.  3. Teams can’t automate and hire fast enough to keep up with platform growth and support business-critical applications. 4. Platforms are already complex, and their complexity is increasing monotonically. Flexibility in technology components and layers brings inordinate complexity. 5. Reactive incident response is necessary but insufficient.
