Brandon Brusenhan's path to becoming an Owner-Operator is tied together by moments of care and mentorship. While working at Chick-fil-A in Oklahoma as a teenager, Brandon was preparing for a Daddy Daughter date night when he realized he didn’t know how to tie a necktie, nor did he have someone to help him. Bubba Cathy, Executive Vice President of Chick-fil-A, Inc., happened to be in the restaurant. Without hesitation, Bubba took Brandon into his office and helped him properly tie a tie – a memory Brandon will never forget.   That simple act of kindness showed Brandon that the little things can truly make a big difference, inspiring him learn more about Chick-fil-A. For Columbia, South Carolina Team Member Matt, a little moment of care and support created a big impact for Chick-fil-A Guest Terrance.

Owner-Operator Vanessa Bales is taking action to address food waste in her Fort Worth community. In partnership with Cowboy Compost, Vanessa’s team has helped divert 87,000 pounds of food waste from landfills into compost for home gardens. Today we’re celebrating the opening of the newest Chick-fil-A restaurant in Canada, Chick-fil-A Orillia! As part of Chick-fil-A’s expansion in Canada, the Restaurant will bring approximately 80-110 full and part-time jobs to the community. Local Owner-Operator Bradley Bache shares, “I’m looking forward to being a great partner within the community and helping shape our rapidly growing city. As a local Owner-Operator, my vision is to serve great food and care while supporting our community.

Chick-fil-A La Rambla in Puerto Rico is now open, and local Owner-Operator Enrique Questell Pereira, whose family roots run deep in the region, looks forward to serving the Ponce community.

At Chick-fil-A Sienna Crossing, three generations of women from one family work together. Tanya first brought her vibrant spirit to the team five years ago, and her enthusiasm was contagious. After hearing her mom talk about her fulfilling work experience day after day, Tanya’s daughter Tyra was encouraged to apply. Over the past three years, Tyra has thrived, gaining invaluable life skills in an environment that feels like home.     The story doesn’t end there. Ms. Rhonda, Tanya’s mom, joined the Sienna Crossing team after a 30 year career with JPMorgan Chase. As the beloved dining room hostess, she spreads joy and makes new friends every day. Now, Tyra is set to embark on a new adventure, enlisting in the Air Force to pursue her dream of becoming an air traffic controller—a passion she’s had since she was seven. The multi-generational team and the strong bonds they share are truly inspiring. Here’s to Ms. Rhonda, Tanya and Tyra and their continued journey! 💛
