Summer should be a time of joy and exploration for every child; however, it is often a tug-of-war for those experiencing food insecurity. When school is out of session, so are the free or reduced-price meals provided to nearly 25,000 children in the county. Our summer feeding program will distribute 5500 grocery boxes filled with kid-friendly food and nearly 20,000 heat & eat meals to help fill the gap for families when kids no longer have easy access to breakfast and lunch at school. Your support is crucial as we work to provide our kids the nutrition they need to keep growing and learning, even when school is not in session. Let's pull together, and beat summer hunger! https://lnkd.in/eNZrCuAp

🌟 A huge THANK YOU to TruMark Financial Credit Union, Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union, and Citadel Credit Union for teaming up to ensure access to nutritious and familiar food for Chester County! 🌟 We are incredibly grateful for your generous donations to CCFB. Your support is making a significant impact, especially during this crucial time when children are out of school for the summer which can present challenges for families who may rely on school meal programs. Together, we are ensuring that our kids receive the nutrition they need to keep growing and learning, even when school is not in session. 🍎

Do you receive a home delivery subscription to the Daily Local News? If yes, could you please donate your copy to CCFB? Monday's (7/8/24) edition features a front-page story about the CCFB dedication of our building to honor our founding chairman, Robert D. McNeil. We would love to have copies of the newspaper to share with the family. Obtaining copies of the newspaper has proven to be more challenging than anticipated - visiting over a dozen convenience stores, grocery stores, and pharmacies. It is uncertain if we will be able to obtain copies from the Journal Register offset office in Exton. If you have yesterday's (Monday, July 8) Daily Local News, could you please donate your Monday copy to CCFB? You can drop off the newspaper at 650 Pennsylvania Dr., Exton. If it is after hours, you can put the paper in our mailbox at the front door. Thank you in advance for your help! You can read more about the dedication here >> https://lnkd.in/e4kHxRJS

Over 20,000 children in Chester County rely on school-provided meals. Unfortunately, when school is out, so are those meals. We work to fill the gap in the summer months when children can no longer receive free or reduced meals at school by providing nutritious kid-friendly, heat & eat meals prepared in our Community Kitchen. We will distribute over 16,000 ready-to-eat meals through our partner network so kids and families can have a summer without hunger. Today is the day! 🍺 Join us tonight from 5-8 PM at Locust Lane Craft Brewery for a fun night of raising pints and raising funds for the Chester County Food Bank. Here’s how you can join in the fun: 🍺 Chill with Brew: Order a pint of the special Food Bank Lager, and CCFB gets $1 for every pint sold. 🧡 Tip Big: Our awesome guest bartenders will be rocking the bar, so tip generously and further support CCFB. 🥪 Enjoy a Picnic Pack: Due to the heat, a food truck will not be available at Pints with a Purpose. But don’t worry... our culinary team is creating picnic packs available for purchase at the event. You are also welcome to BYOF(food). Get ready for a good laugh, too, because our guest bartenders - Pat Ward Miguel Alban, Elizabeth Blake, MBA, Andrea Youndt, Beth Fantine, Yvonne Bartlett, CPA and Lauren Nehra—will be rocking the bar. Whether they're mixing up a masterpiece or just trying not to spill, they're pouring for GOOD, and it’s sure to be a show you don’t want to miss! Let’s raise a pint together and make a difference. See you at 5 PM at Locust Lane!🍺 Thank you Exton Region Chamber of Commerce, Laurie Ryan for your partnership in Pints with a Purpose.
