About us

Cheniere Energy, Inc. (NYSE American: LNG) Around the globe, countries, communities and companies want many of the same things: to be productive, healthy and safe. At Cheniere, we provide clean, secure and affordable energy to the world — energy that can reduce carbon emissions, help lead to cleaner air, and light homes and power factories — all manufactured and transported by modern energy infrastructure run by a world-class workforce. The energy we make is liquified natural gas, or LNG. We began operations in 2016, and we’re already the largest producer of LNG in the United States and the second largest LNG operator in the world. Our LNG has reached dozens of markets on five continents, and the demand for our fuel is expected to grow as countries around the world seek cleaner ways to power their economies. We purchase natural gas from the robust, transparent and liquid North American gas market, process the natural gas into LNG, and offer our customers the option to load the LNG onto their vessels at our terminals, or we will deliver the LNG to regasification facilities around the world. Natural gas is transported to Cheniere’s LNG facilities on third-party pipelines on which we own firm transportation capacity, as well as on pipelines Cheniere has constructed, owns and operates. Cheniere is operating, constructing and developing two LNG facilities on the U.S. Gulf Coast. These massive LNG facilities reliably and safely process billions of cubic feet of natural gas per day into LNG and load the liquid energy onto insulated ships that keep the product cold for their journeys around the world. While you’ll find our headquarters in Houston, Texas, and our LNG facilities in Southwest Louisiana and South Texas, we are a global company with offices in London, Singapore, Washington, Beijing and Tokyo.

We recently welcomed 18 students into Cheniere’s apprenticeship program as they take the next steps toward a career in LNG. Cheniere partners with local colleges, including SOWELA Technical Community College in Louisiana and Del Mar College and Lamar State College-Port Arthur in Texas, allowing us to support high-performing students who desire to work in field operations. Students who apply, complete the required coursework and advance are rewarded with grants to offset tuition costs. At Cheniere, we believe in investing in our communities and the future by developing the next generation of LNG professionals.

We honor Juneteenth, a day commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the U.S. A federal holiday since 2021, Juneteenth traces its first celebrations to 1866 in Texas, where it became a state holiday in 1980. In observance, Cheniere is organizing a volunteer activity to assist with the ongoing restoration of Olivewood Cemetery, Houston’s first incorporated African American cemetery, and one significantly impacted by recent storms. The activity, which will take place next month, is a continuation of Cheniere’s support of Descendants of Olivewood, the non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of the historical site. Celebrating the diverse cultural heritage of our personnel, communities and customers around the world aligns with Cheniere’s commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion. #diversityandinclusion #Juneteenth

We celebrate Pride Month with the LGBTQ community and our colleagues around the world. At Cheniere, we strive to foster equality, inclusion, respect and allyship in our workplace and beyond. Earlier this month, members of Team Cheniere, including our EVP and Chief Commercial Officer, Anatol Feygin, along with friends at Bechtel Corporation volunteered at Montrose Grace Place, a Houston-area nonprofit serving unsheltered youths of all orientations and genders. Our volunteers painted walls, sorted clothes and removed debris, and the Cheniere Foundation made a monetary donation in support of the organization. Celebrating the diverse experiences and cultural heritage of our personnel, communities and customers around the world aligns with Cheniere’s commitment to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion. #diversityandinclusion #PrideMonth

Today, Cheniere Energy, Inc. announced a $4 billion increase to its share repurchase authorization through 2027, as well as plans to increase its dividend by ~15% to $2/share annualized for 3Q 2024. These updates demonstrate Cheniere’s continued execution of its 20/20 Vision long-term capital allocation plan, which aims to maximize shareholder value by deploying over $20 billion of available cash toward accretive growth, capital returns and a sustainable investment-grade balance sheet to generate over $20 per share in run-rate distributable cash flow. Since the plan’s announcement in 2022, Cheniere has funded accretive, brownfield growth, bringing the Corpus Christi Liquefaction Stage 3 Project to over 60% complete, repurchased ~10% of shares outstanding while growing its dividend by over 30%, and achieved investment-grade ratings throughout the corporate structure. Recently, more than 50 volunteers from our Corpus Christi Liquefaction facility in Gregory, Texas, contributed 500 hours to restore the home of a local veteran as part of Habitat For Humanity’s Critical Repair Program. Our volunteers removed sheetrock, replaced windows and trimmed trees near the home's roof as part of the makeover. At Cheniere, we are thankful for and proud of our employees and their commitment to making a difference in the communities where we live and work.
